Job Overview:

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a crucial role in the administration of anesthesia during surgical interventions. This position requires a high level of expertise and collaboration with the anesthesia care team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures under the guidance of an anesthesiologist.
  • Provide anesthesia services in specialized areas such as Endoscopy, Pain Management, MRI/CT Imaging, and Cardiac Lab.
  • Engage in the education and training of nurse anesthesia students.
  • Collaborate effectively with the anesthesia care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide continuous care.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a certified Nurse Anesthesia Program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
  • Valid certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association.
