The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a crucial role in the administration of anesthesia during surgical interventions. This position requires a high level of expertise and collaboration with the anesthesia care team.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures under the guidance of an anesthesiologist.
- Provide anesthesia services in specialized areas including Endoscopy, Pain Management, MRI/CT Imaging, and Cardiac Lab.
- Engage in the education and training of nurse anesthesia students.
- Collaborate effectively with the anesthesia care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide continuous care.
- Completion of a certified Nurse Anesthesia Program.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Valid certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association.
