Job Summary

The Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) Intern will provide support on a variety of initiatives within the Democracy, Governance, and Conflict (DGC) practice area. This internship will require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is presently remote. This is a paid position, and we anticipate the candidate starting soonest after presenting an offer.

Responsibilities
  • Support senior staff with producing innovative business development products for GID.
  • Create external marketing products for GID.
  • Support coordination of events such as conferences, panels, and meetings on relevant topics.
  • Provide research support to region-specific analytics, tools, and guidance on topics such as gender-based violence, anti-gender and anti-rights movements in closing civic spaces, and gender integrative solutions for the DGC sector.
  • Support the development of an MSI framework for GID in conflict-affected settings.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree required, preferably in international development, gender and inclusion, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, or a similar area.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills, especially via email and by phone.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong writing, presentation, event coordinating, and marketing skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote required.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, required. Second language skills are preferred.
