Key Responsibilities
  • Business Performance: Deliver quality and improvement to meet or exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, customer count, and store profitability.

  • Team Management: Partner with store managers to lead a team through strong knowledge and skills. Provide training and guidance to team members, and deliver clear and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  • Recruitment and Talent Development: Support recruiting, help select high-caliber team members, and create a talent pipeline. Follow guidelines to optimally staff stores.
  • Store Appearance and Visual Directives: Show great pride in store appearance and execute visual directives.
  • Customer Service and Sales: Strive to maintain positive working relationships with doctors and adhere to and ensure compliance of team to Company policies and procedures.
  • Problem-Solving and Administrative Duties: Anticipate problems before they occur, explore underlying reasons and root cause, and strive for long-term solutions to problems. Perform and understand administrative duties.
  • Opticianry and Eyewear Expertise: Provide expertise and product knowledge on lens choices based on patient's vision needs and doctor's prescription. Adjust and/or repair eyewear, present and dispense eyewear, and create a lasting impression.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, current and valid state Opticianry license, and 1+ year(s) management/supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong basic math skills, familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators, and a strong command of the English language for all written correspondence and oral communication.
  • Preferred Qualifications: College degree or equivalent, previous experience in leadership position within retail and customer service industry, knowledge of basic optics, and state licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
