Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant - Patient Care Partner to join our team at Kenosha Community Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Visit Planning
    • Review daily schedules and patient records to anticipate screening needs and other issues to be addressed during the visit.
    • Ensure availability of required patient information and collect missing information before the provider visits.
  • Patient Flow Management
    • Facilitate the flow of patient visits to maintain an on-time schedule and efficiency of care.
    • Greets patients and family members, applying customer service standards in all interactions.
    • Performs complete patient rooming processes, including documentation of general and age-specific data, vital signs, and other measurements.
  • Medical Assisting During Patient Visits
    • Assists medical providers with patient examinations, treatments, tests, and procedures, utilizing appropriate clean or sterile techniques.
    • Documents accurately according to PCMH and MU standards.
    • Reinforces instructions and ensures patients are provided with a visit summary.
  • Medication Administration
    • Administers ordered injections and immunizations in accordance with policy and procedure.
    • Documents medication administration in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Diagnostic Testing
    • Assists with and performs diagnostic testing, including obtaining specimens for routine laboratory procedures.
    • Lables and prepares specimens for shipping.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Graduate from a Medical Assistant Program.
    • Must produce Official School Diploma and Transcripts.
    • Must obtain Certified Medical Assistant status within 6 months of hire and maintain certification.
    • CPR Certification required.
  • Physical/Environmental
    • Must be current on all ACIP immunizations and PPD Status.
    • Sitting less than 10% of the time.
    • Walking and standing greater than 90% of the time.

Pay to commensurate with experience.

$2,000 Hiring Bonus*

*Full-time Medical Assistants hired on or before October 31, 2024, will be eligible to receive a hiring bonus paid in 4 equal installments every 6 months. The employee must be actively employed to receive a payout and maintain perfect attendance within the first 90 days. Internal candidates are not eligible.
