About the Role

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled AIT Psychiatrist to join our team in providing exceptional care to our nation's veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment of complex psychiatric and substance abuse issues.
  • Work as a member of the Psychiatric Evaluation Center (PEC) to provide safety and risk assessments for veterans presenting to the Emergency Department.
  • Triage acutely suicidal callers and provide occasional coverage for acute inpatient psychiatric patients.
  • Provide psychiatric consult coverage and occasionally order and administer Ketamine and Esketamine in clinic.
  • Administer Electric Convulsive Therapy (ECT) as needed.
