As a Physician - Assessment and Intensive Treatment Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive care to Veterans who present with complex psychiatric and substance abuse issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide high-quality clinical examination, diagnosis, crisis intervention, patient management, consultation, and appropriate documentation in clinical records.
  • Work as a member of the Psychiatric Evaluation Center (PEC) to provide safety & risk assessment for veterans presenting to the Emergency Department.
  • Triage acutely suicidal callers who are referred to the PEC.
  • Provide occasional coverage for acute inpatient psychiatric patients.
  • Provide occasional psychiatric consult coverage.
  • Occasionally order and administer Ketamine and Esketamine in clinic.
  • Provide Electric Convulsive Therapy (ECT).
