Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at W Fort Lauderdale. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with MEP systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in facilities management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
