CNA Instructor Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced CNA Instructor to join our team at NSDI. As a CNA Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education and training to students in our LearnMore Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP).
Job Summary:The CNA Instructor will be responsible for implementing classroom and clinical instruction according to the state-approved curriculum, assessing and identifying students' instructional needs, and providing individualized instruction to students. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:- Recruit and enroll students for classes
- Implement classroom and clinical instruction according to the state-approved curriculum
- Assess and identify students' instructional needs and provide individualized instruction
- Conduct classroom and clinical activities per approved LearnMore requirements
- Practice excellence in teaching and instruction, including instructional counseling, clinical training, and academic advising
- Complete student records promptly during and at the completion of the training
- Identify students' needs for education and instruction, together with the RNPD
- Administer and grade student quizzes and tests
- Monitor students' performance and provide immediate supervision of students in clinical training
- Evaluate students and record grades on appropriate forms
- Inform students about knowledge and skills evaluation procedures and course completion requirements
- A licensed Registered Nurse with a director of staff development (DSD) certificate and meets the requirements stated in CCR Title
- Possess a valid and current Registered Nurse (RN)
- Have two years' full-time nursing experience working with patients, with a minimum of one-year of experience as a licensed vocational nurse providing direct patient care in a nursing facility or long-term care facility
- Have previous teaching experience in a nursing-related field
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
- Approved by the CDPH before teaching any NATP class
- Part-time, Non-exempt position
- Flexible work environment - work will be performed in school, clinical settings, and NSDI headquarters, as well as in an office setting, and requires the use of electronic equipment, including computers, telephones, etc.
- Flexibility in schedule, including scheduled evenings and weekends, as required by the school schedule
- Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal and telephone communication. Ability to sit for long periods, stand, computer entry, walk, repeated bending, lift and carry up to 20 lbs., reaching
