Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $73,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Mental Health Care Specialist will:

  • Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign measurements, wound care, and medication administration
  • Conduct behavioral observations and document patient behavior
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote patient well-being
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Psychiatric Technician license issued by the Bureau of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPTE)
  • At least 1 year of experience in a mental health or corrections setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
