Job Title: Family Educator

Champions for Children, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Family Educator to join our team. As a Family Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting fathers in the community through individual face-to-face parenting sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation to fathers using evidence-based curricula.
  • Plan and coordinate delivery of services with the FRANC team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and reporting requirements.
  • Review screenings and assessments, utilizing program-specific protocol and consult with case management when community supports are needed.
  • Cultivate and manage ongoing collaborative relationships with other CFC programs and community partners.
  • Timely data entry into participant records and data collection systems.
  • Prepare for and participate in case reviews with the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Adhere to policies ensuring participant confidentiality.
  • Participate in performance and quality improvement processes.
  • Participate in outreach development and delivery of community events.
  • Participate in related training and workshops.
Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field.
  • Preference given to individuals with a minimum of 2 years prior experience supporting father and father figures with family support/case management services.
  • Complete required training and certification for selected curricula.
  • Manage a caseload, organize and prioritize work assignments, make decisions, and independent judgments.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 web-based applications, and internet search engines.
  • Ability to work in the office, community, and client's home (as needed).
  • Available to work evenings and Saturdays, schedule visits according to participants' needs.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is an advantage but not required.
  • Professional, self-directed, follow-through on projects, and prompt responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills, team-oriented, customer service focused, enjoys working with others.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively.
  • Light physical demands: regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
  • Able to travel in the communities served, must have a reliable car, active auto insurance, and valid Florida driver's license.
  • Must be sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population that Champions for Children serves.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a Florida level 2 criminal background clearance, motor vehicle records check, and drug screening.
