Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Care Management Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services in accordance with established hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure the delivery of quality services in accordance with established hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the overall operations of the department, including quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement department goals and objectives that align with the hospital's mission.
  • Manage personnel, including employee orientation, skill competency, and continuing education requirements.
  • Ensure employee compliance with hospital and department policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the hospital's Performance Improvement Program and develop department-specific PI plans.
  • Follow up on outliers and areas identified for improvement.
  • Participate in committees, task forces, and projects as required.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of managerial experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Previous experience as a case manager required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare financial, regulatory, and payer issues.
  • Knowledge of state, local, and federal programs.
  • Experience with Milliman/Interqual criteria.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Ability to move quickly throughout the work environment and the hospital.
  • Ability to utilize a computer with Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to read and write, using analytical skills to interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Ability to analyze multidimensional problems and tasks, and sort out actions/plans in order of priorities.
  • Ability to communicate with patients and staff in a caring and sensitive manner.
