Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team at Tyonek Contractors LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties, including disassembly, modification, repair, and reassembly of complex aircraft metal items and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate structural damage to metal systems and items
  • Develop patterns using a combination of parallel and radial line development
  • Fabricate, install, and repair a variety of items and systems made from a wide variety of metals
  • Replace sections and patch old systems
  • Cut, bend, shape, and form metals for items with numerous irregular angles, planes, and curves
  • Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, protractors, and gauges
  • Operate oxyacetylene cutting torches and electric arc welding machines
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years Sheetmetal Mechanic (Aircraft Mechanic II) experience
  • V-22 or other composite aircraft experience preferred
  • A&P license not required but a plus
  • Must have Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance
Working Conditions

This position requires working in an inside/outside environment, with excessive noise and vibration. You will be required to work around machinery, objects, vehicles, ladders, and scaffolds. Environmental conditions may include dust, silica, asbestos, fumes, smoke, gas, solvents, and electrical energy.
