Utility Operations Assistant Supervisor Job Description

This role involves overseeing a skilled team of electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and utility mechanics to guarantee efficient utility operations and mechanical system functionality during non-standard hours, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizing and delegating daily assignments for maintenance tasks and urgent situations.
  • Facilitating training sessions on operational systems within the facility.
  • Monitoring communication channels and ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Coordinating activities to reduce operational interruptions.
  • Providing necessary training and managing special initiatives.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma along with a valid Massachusetts state license in Electric, HVAC, or Plumbing.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience as a certified tradesperson.
  • Proficiency in mechanical systems, tool application, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Physical capability to ascend stairs and lift weights exceeding seventy pounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and computer proficiency.

Work Conditions

  • Potential exposure to various hazards and the necessity to work during off-peak hours.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and institutional regulations.
  • Occasional overtime and the requirement to provide personal hand tools may be necessary.
