Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Operations Assistant to join our team at Northwell Health. This role will be responsible for maintaining department inventory levels, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by processing orders and reconciling discrepancies in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to expedite purchases and orders, ensuring timely delivery of supplies.
  • Process copying and printing requests, duplicating, sorting, and distributing completed projects while maintaining inventory of required supplies for the Copy Center.
  • Ensure all related Copy Center equipment is properly maintained and assist Materials Support Associates as needed.
  • Receive and deliver materials, IVs, and supplies to nursing and ancillary units.
  • Perform receptionist duties, greeting and directing department visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Receive and distribute mail throughout the department.
  • Prepare mail and outgoing FedEx, process item returns to vendors.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
