About the Role

Goddard Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and user-centered design solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive research to gather insights that inform the design process and translate user needs and business objectives into innovative design solutions.
  • Create detailed 3D models and renderings using industry-standard software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Develop prototypes and iterate designs based on feedback and testing.
  • Present design concepts and guidance to clients and stakeholders.
  • Support or conduct testing in laboratory, shop, or field environments when required.
  • Support prototype builds with assembly, modifications, and finishing.
  • Travel as needed to collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial design or a related field.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous design projects and process documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to embrace learning opportunities daily.
