Job Summary

PNC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Examiner to join our team. As a Senior Field Examiner, you will be responsible for performing independent analysis on existing and prospective borrowers' collateral records and financial reports to determine and assess collateral values that secure loans and/or credit worthiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collateral Analysis: Perform in-depth testing, valuation, and analysis of collateral (generally Accounts Receivable and Inventory) securing the loans to existing and prospective borrowers to verify existence and identify areas of collateral weakness or deterioration.
  • Field Examination Reports: Prepare complex Field Examination Reports and supporting workpapers that highlight germane findings, material variances, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Communication and Escalation: Communicate and escalate significant exam findings, concerns, delays, or borrower limitations to lending and credit personnel, and make recommendations as it relates to the collateral supporting the loan.
  • Collateral Management: Confirm proper reporting of collateral on the Borrowing Base Certificates, ensure compliance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the Loan Approval, and establish initial Borrowing Base Certificates and reporting methods.
  • Team Leadership: Manage the due diligence process, direct the daily progress of field work performed by junior and new Field Examiners, and train junior and new Field Examiners.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant industry experience, with certifications desired.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication and conflict management skills.
Competencies
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collateral Management: Knowledge of the concepts, objectives, tools, and methods used in collateral management.
  • Conflict Management: Understanding of how to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of and ability to utilize tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and practices for analyzing and determining credit-worthiness.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment.
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP): Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to apply them appropriately.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
