About the Role

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide to join our team of professionals who are committed to providing high-quality education and support services to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies to meet each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Assist in the training of students in work behavior and specific employment skills, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Document student behavior and progress, providing regular reports to relevant staff and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with core classroom staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our students and programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; paraprofessional license preferred.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an education or classroom setting.
  • Ability to analyze and apply concepts of basic math, as well as work with students in a special education program setting.
  • Valid California driver's license and comfortable driving or riding in a van with students.
  • Working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office.
