Job Title: Instructional Aide II

At Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide II to join our team of educators. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies to meet each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and strategies.
  • Assist with classroom management, including supervising students during activities and transitions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement lesson plans and educational materials.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records of student behavior and academic performance.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field.
  • Valid California state driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain an Emergency 30-Day Sub Permit within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Experience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors preferred.
