Job Summary
">- We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, providing exceptional speech therapy services for patients with communication disorders.
- Assess and evaluate patients' swallowing, speech, and language abilities, identifying areas of improvement and developing personalized treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough evaluations within 48 hours of receiving medical orders, using written or electronic assessments as needed.
- Collaborate with patients and their families to establish clear goals and expectations, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Develop comprehensive care plans, prioritizing patient needs and restoring function to the greatest extent possible.
- Plan and deliver therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy sessions, to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all clinical services rendered, ensuring timely completion and compliance with organizational standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, enhancing professional growth and contributing to a culture of excellence.
Requirements and Qualifications
">- A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology is required, with certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.
- At least two years of experience in related work settings, preferably in rehabilitation services, is preferred but not necessary.
