This role entails overseeing the Shared Services Accounting team and working closely with the Assistant Controller. Primary responsibilities include engaging in the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes, generating financial statements and reporting packages, facilitating annual audits, and aiding in the preparation of the annual budget. This position is primarily in-person, with the flexibility to work from home one day each week.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Operations Manager: The ideal candidate will be a proactive and dynamic professional with a commitment to mentorship and active participation in all facets of full-cycle accounting. - Manages balance sheet schedules and prepares quarterly roll forwards.
- Oversees the posting of bank transactions and reconciliations.
- Supervises shared services operations.
- Researches accounting standards to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Prepares trial balances for multiple locations, including intercompany transactions.
- Prepares documentation for and participates in the annual audit of financial statements.
- Mentors junior accountants to enhance industry knowledge and ensure compliance with legal regulations and standard accounting practices.
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Coordinates the preparation and submission of property tax reports.
- Prepares and reviews journal entries.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or senior management, as necessary.
Qualifications for the Finance Operations Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Five years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in team leadership and process improvement initiatives.
- Comfortable engaging with plant personnel as well as the executive team.
- Willingness to travel periodically to non-local facilities.
Salary: $115,000-$130,000
