Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Aide to join our team at East Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. As an Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students in achieving academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Teachers in Classroom Activities
    • Support lessons taught by teachers to individual students or groups of students and follow instructional plans as assigned by the teacher or school leader.
    • Help plan classroom activities as directed by the teacher and support the teacher in all student and parent relations.
  • Provide Administrative Support
    • Perform clerical duties, including grading papers and making copies.
    • Assist the teacher in the use of classroom technology.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Learning Environment
    • Help maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom, and other school areas.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    • Assist with school activities, including parent-faculty nights, faculty meetings, assemblies, commencement exercises, and other events.
    • Participate in faculty committees and other school-wide initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate Degree, two years of college coursework, or the passage of the Para Professional's Exam.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
    • Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently.
    • Understanding and ability to manage confidential information.
    • High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
    • Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
