Job Overview

The Service Technician at Blake & Pendleton Inc. is responsible for providing essential maintenance and repair services to a diverse range of clients across various sectors, including manufacturing, utilities, forestry, and mining. This role primarily focuses on Sullair compressed air systems while also extending support to other equipment types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on compressed air equipment and other machinery.
  • Customer Interaction: Assess and address customer service calls effectively, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including quarterly and annual checks.
  • Equipment Start-Up: Perform start-up procedures for newly installed machinery.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service tickets and timesheets, submitting them daily to the Service Coordinator.
  • Professional Conduct: Uphold a professional demeanor and wear a clean company uniform while representing Blake & Pendleton Inc.
Qualifications

Electrical Expertise:

  • Proficient in troubleshooting 120V control circuits and reading wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with single-phase and three-phase motor control circuits up to 480V.
  • Skilled in using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.

Mechanical Skills:

  • Ability to read P&I drawings and troubleshoot air compressor control components.
  • Experience in performing routine maintenance, including oil changes and cleaning.
  • Familiarity with rigging equipment and motor alignments.

Refrigeration Knowledge: EPA certifications with Freon handling experience are advantageous.

Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. A commitment to safety and physical fitness is essential for performing job duties effectively.
