PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a technician, you will be trained to handle a diverse range of tasks across various sectors. This role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment, with excellent earning potential for motivated and diligent individuals.

Your main duty will be to independently conduct advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide array of industrial equipment within automotive service centers or similar facilities. Equipment you may work on includes air compressors, refrigeration units, lubrication systems, hydraulic lifts, tire changers, wheel balancers, brake lathes, and alignment machines. A solid understanding of the principles, methods, equipment, and tools used for repairing and installing electro-mechanical devices is essential.

KEY DUTIES

  • Diagnose technical issues and determine effective solutions.
  • Perform installation, preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on various industrial equipment.
  • Interpret technical manuals to assist in disassembling and reassembling system components.
  • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during field operations.
  • Adhere to and promote safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding fieldwork through required reports.
  • Utilize manuals and diagrams to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Employ hand and power tools for the removal, installation, replacement, rebuilding, and testing of parts and equipment.
  • Access various resources and technology to reference parts and record data.
  • Disassemble and reassemble parts or equipment, clean components, and conduct diagnostic checks.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Eagerness to learn and follow detailed instructions.
  • Demonstrated mechanical field service experience and aptitude.
  • Understanding of single and three-phase electrical systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in industrial equipment repair.
  • Ability to operate various service vehicles, including trucks and forklifts.
  • Collaborate with team members and share information across the organization.
  • Familiarity with mobile technology and applications.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and self-management skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience:
At least 3 years of technical field service experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment. Proven expertise in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of industrial and automotive service equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a good understanding of electrical systems.

Other:
Must be willing to learn, self-motivated, and possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and interact effectively with customers.

Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of performing physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, and lifting parts weighing up to 75 pounds. Ability to operate a service vehicle and drive for extended periods.

Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
