We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our Specialty Pharmacy team. This role is ideal for those looking to transition from traditional retail pharmacy to a mail order pharmacy environment.
Work Schedule:
This position involves evening shifts along with a Saturday rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and effective use of medications through optimal drug selection and dosage regimen design.
- Monitor drug therapy and provide comprehensive drug information to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Enter clinician orders into the designated computer systems and process prescriptions accurately.
- Supervise the activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as departmental guidelines.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $52.46 – $83.94 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License and American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing and traveling for extended periods. Candidates should possess proficient communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and pushing.
