Position Overview

The Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Evaluator, under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, plays a crucial role in the Quality Assurance Team. This position is responsible for assessing, supporting, and evaluating the service providers associated with the regional center to ensure compliance with the Home and Community Based Services Final Rule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and consultations to monitor support services.
  • Provide training to vendors and staff on compliance standards.
  • Review program designs and conduct facility assessments.
  • Investigate and follow up on reported incidents, developing corrective action plans as necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Master's Degree in education, public administration, social work, or a related field, along with two years of relevant experience in developmental disabilities, including program evaluation and monitoring. Alternatively, candidates with two years of experience in a Regional Center role focused on program evaluation may also qualify.

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field combined with four years of relevant experience may substitute for a Master's Degree. Special skills, such as fluency in additional languages, may also be considered.

Special Requirements

Fluency in a language other than English is desirable. Candidates must have reliable transportation for travel within the service area and provide proof of automobile liability insurance as required by law.
