About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at H&M Hennes & Mauritz Gruppe. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth, while ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive store experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Profit Growth
    • Analyze and follow up on sales and profit KPIs for the department, working closely with visual merchandisers to maximize selling opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profit growth, while maintaining H&M's high standards of customer service.
  • Team Management
    • Manage a team of department supervisors and sales advisors, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer service and store operations.
  • Store Operations
    • Work closely with the store management team to ensure store operations run smoothly, including scheduling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
    • Ensure that all store operations are carried out in accordance with H&M's policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service
    • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a positive and engaging experience in the store.
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive customer loyalty and retention.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 1-2+ years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
