Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Facilities Maintenance Lead is to develop, execute, and uphold long-term strategies for enhancing maintenance operations while providing technical support to the manufacturing teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment in alignment with our corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce and actively promote corporate safety protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Identify equipment failures, ascertain root causes, and implement both immediate and long-term solutions.
  • Assist the facility in meeting its Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost objectives.
  • Oversee construction and maintenance initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of divisional and corporate policies.
  • Ensure adherence to scheduling and quality benchmarks.
  • Foster a culture of safety and good housekeeping practices.
  • Guide, mentor, and assess team members.
  • Comply with local and national labor agreements while supporting corporate policies.
  • Engage with internal and external teams as necessary to resolve issues.
  • Execute planned maintenance activities effectively.
  • Complete tasks within budgetary, manpower, and time constraints.

Required Skills:

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime on weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering schematics.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Experience in machinery, assembly, or facility operations.
  • Knowledge of maintaining a safe industrial work environment.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics, including trigonometry.
  • Experience in supervising a multi-skilled workforce.
  • Strong analytical skills to address complex problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and email communication tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Training in skilled trades or equivalent technical education.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
