Key Responsibilities: As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, assess physical health requirements, make suitable referrals to community healthcare providers, and oversee medication management in collaboration with psychiatrists. You will also provide medication management, conduct medication reviews, and occasionally perform initial psychiatric evaluations for clients receiving services from our Geriatric Transitions Program and Expanded Community Services in a community environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-person consultations with clients to evaluate their need for psychotropic medications, prescribe and/or administer medications, and review their medication regimens and potential side effects.
  • Provide short-term psychotherapy to clients as needed.
  • Ensure informed consent is obtained from clients regarding medication effects, risks, benefits, and possible adverse effects.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of services provided to clients.
  • Offer consultation and training to program staff on the appropriate use of psychotropic medications.
  • Participate in comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychiatric history, mental status, diagnosis, and overall health.
  • Document client progress to maintain a permanent record of activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Engage in daily organizational meetings and treatment planning reviews.
  • Supervise medication administration and related medical services.
  • Manage the logistics of medication delivery to clients and integrate medication administration into individual treatment plans.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities relevant to the position as needed.
Work Schedule:

Part-Time or Full-Time

Compensation:

$60 - $80 per hour, based on relevant industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.

Sign-on bonus of up to $7,000

Paid training opportunities.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Education: An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) must have completed a formal nurse practitioner program and hold current licensure for advanced practice in the State of Washington, including prescriptive authority. A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in nursing (BSN/MSN) and/or a minimum of five years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a mental health setting with the ability to effectively engage with diverse populations is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid ARNP certification.
  • Other Requirements: DSHS background clearance, current Washington State driver's license, DEA number, liability insurance, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, strong communication skills, and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
