The Senior Director of Intellectual Property Strategy will be responsible for managing all IP matters within the company, including identifying new inventions, developing processes to protect IP, and providing freedom-to-operate, infringement, and validity analyses. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in biotechnology intellectual property, preferably with prior law firm experience and at least 7 years of hands-on experience in patent prosecution or litigation. The candidate will also have experience leading the global IP strategy for therapeutics through discovery, research, and development.

The candidate will have a law degree (JD) with a current good standing admission to at least one US state bar and a technical background in life sciences such as biochemistry, molecular biology, or other area relevant to biopharmaceutical IP practice.

The candidate will also have knowledge of common biotechnology licensing/collaboration structures and typical "market" contract terms, as well as the ability to run a tight process to achieve organizational timeline and budget goals.
