Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service: Interact with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintenance and repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company equipment, facilities, and properties, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Construction and fabrication: Assist in constructing fixtures and equipment for use in company operations, including woodworking, metalworking, and electrical work.
  • Operate specialized equipment: Operate gas or arc welding equipment to join metal parts used to repair or fabricate equipment.
  • Attend training and meetings: Attend mandatory management and training meetings, as well as department meetings, to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols: Follow all policies, procedures, and directives to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
  • Collaborate with teams: Work collaboratively with Workforce Development and Social Services to provide participant services.
  • Wear personal protective equipment: Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain confidentiality: Maintain agency confidentiality and adhere to all health, safety, and fire standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience: One year of experience in construction and/or building maintenance.
  • Skills: Knowledge of machinery, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical tools, as well as experience in remodeling, including woodworking, sheetrock, flooring, and electrical work.
