Vocational Evaluator/Intake Specialist

Harbor, Inc. is seeking a skilled Vocational Evaluator/Intake Specialist to join our team. This role involves conducting intake assessments, vocational evaluations, and readiness assessments to identify barriers to participation for clients. The successful candidate will also complete referrals as needed and provide job readiness assessments to document client readiness to engage in vocational services.
This is a part-time position, 24 hours per week.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience providing vocational services to clients from specified populations.
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) certification preferred.
- Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Word.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and insurability through Harbor's vehicle insurance carrier.
Essential Job Competencies:
- Conduct intake interviews and assess client barriers to participation.
- Make community referrals to address barriers to participation.
- Develop client Individual Service Plans outlining goals, objectives, and services.
- Administer and interpret vocational and academic assessment instruments for WEP site placement.
- Provide job readiness assessments and document client support needs.
- Complete vocational consultations to assist consumers with identifying job goals.
- Document client information in the format acceptable to Harbor.
- Stay current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies.
- May assist with Job Seeking Skills Training groups as needed.
