Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Faculty Affairs Coordinator to join our team at the University of Arizona. This role will provide critical support to faculty members, including recruitment, annual performance reviews, and payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including drafting job advertisements, coordinating applicant materials, and scheduling interviews.
  • Provide guidance to search committees on recruitment policies and procedures to ensure fairness and compliance with Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity laws.
  • Coordinate faculty annual performance reviews, including setting up yearly Annual Performance Review (APR) in UA Vitae, creating review committees, and assisting with department head evaluations.
  • Assist with Academic Program Reviews (APR) as needed.
  • Point of contact for miscellaneous leaves, including non-FML, sabbatical, research leaves, and assist with faculty and staff on-boarding.
  • Submit designated campus colleagues (DCC) requests and miscellaneous payments, including supplemental compensations, OPS, and moving allowances.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in Higher Education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with cloud-based software, such as Google Drive/Docs/Sheets/Slides, Box, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in Higher Education.
  • Experience working with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft/UAccess Employee and Talent software.
