The City & Borough of Juneau, AK is seeking a qualified candidate for an Aquatic Fitness Program Coordinator position.
Job Summary
This role involves leading aquatic fitness programs for various age groups, providing instruction on swimming techniques, and ensuring participant safety. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and lead aquatic fitness classes for youth, adults, and seniors.
- Develop and implement swimming instruction programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Maintain accurate records of class attendance, participant feedback, and program evaluation data.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
- No less than 18 years of age at time of appointment.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $15.61 - $16.67 per hour. As an employee of the City & Borough of Juneau, you will be eligible for various benefits, including health insurance, paid leave, and retirement plans.
