Senior Electrical Engineer

OVERVIEW:

Aeroseal is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design and development of hardware, electronic circuits, and control systems for product enhancements and new initiatives. This position involves utilizing software tools to conduct routine analyses that forecast the performance of electronic circuits and control systems, while also identifying design enhancements through data evaluation. The role includes contributing to reliability assessments, such as risk evaluations and Failure Mode Effects Analysis, by gathering and scrutinizing data. Collaboration with project leaders is essential to ensure project deliverables are met by evaluating input requirements and adhering to functional specifications. Strong communication skills are necessary to foster relationships and provide innovative solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in designing electrical and control circuits using Altium.
  • Familiarity with STM32 and ESP32 microcontrollers, as well as NXP-based microprocessors.
  • Experience in board layout design incorporating RF Modules.
  • Skilled in utilizing various compilers, debuggers, and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
  • Knowledge and practical experience with communication protocols such as CAN, MODBUS, and TCP/IP.
  • Proficient in C/C++ and Python programming for embedded systems.
  • (Preferred) Background in structured design, code reusability, and best practices for embedded systems.
  • (Preferred) Experience with data acquisition systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and develop electrical and control systems.
  • Engage in design reviews across all project stages; proposals, standards, etc.
  • Analyze requirements from customers and product management, contributing to proposal development.
  • Explore and recommend architectural and technological improvements.
  • Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Verify that project tasks meet specifications and are accurate.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to fulfill project requirements.
  • Provide industry-specific application expertise and guidance.
  • Develop project requirements and design specifications.
  • Oversee certification processes for new products, including FCC and CE compliance.
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000-$145,000, influenced by various factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details reflect the base salary and do not encompass bonuses or benefits.
