Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Aide - Evening Shift to join our team at Hudson Regional Hospital. As a Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist nurses with various duties, including placing specialty mattresses, performing glucose testing, and recording results accurately and timely.
  • Participate in our Falls Prevention Program and identify patients at risk for falls.
  • Practice wound prevention protocol, maintain Universal Precautions, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform and record patient weight, blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, and pulse in a timely manner.
  • Administer complete/partial baths, oral care, denture care, hair care, foley care, shaving, and bed making skills.
  • Assist with toileting needs, transport patients via wheelchair and/or stretcher, and answer phone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Collect specimens, transport them to the lab, and record results accurately.
  • Perform EKGs, document results, and report abnormal findings to the nurse assigned or charge nurse.
  • Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met and safety is upheld.
  • Notifies the nurse assigned when taking breaks or meals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in a healthcare setting
  • BLS - AHA approved
