Job Summary:

Cary Medical Center is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join their Laboratory team on a per diem basis. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting biological specimens from patients for laboratory testing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood and other biological specimens from patients for laboratory testing
  • Ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing
  • Collaborate with laboratory technologists to process specimens and obtain optimal quality results
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, with a focus on consistently obtaining high-quality specimens

Requirements:

  • No license required - on-the-job training provided
  • Obtain Phlebotomy Certification within the first 6 months of employment
  • CPR and basic first aid certification recommended
  • High school graduate or equivalent GED

Schedule:

This per diem position may require working days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to float to other units as needed.
