Position Overview:

As a Traveling Fuel Technician Trainee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance and accuracy of fuel dispensing operations for our clients.


Fuel stations face significant risks, including the potential for inaccurate fuel delivery, which can lead to financial penalties and damage to their reputation.

Our technicians receive hands-on training to effectively utilize advanced tools and technology for precise meter calibration at retail fuel sites.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct precise calibration of fuel meters for retail clients to guarantee accurate measurements and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks on fueling systems.
  • Assist in the setup of equipment and preparation of sites.
  • Operate a company vehicle (CDL not required).

Travel Requirements:
Candidates must reside within 60 miles of Lavonia, GA, and be prepared for extensive travel across multiple states, which may involve being away from home for extended periods. Travel accommodations, including hotels and a generous per diem, will be provided.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage of $17.00, with the opportunity for overtime at time and a half (approximately $25.00/hour).
  • Daily per diem of $50.00, included directly in your weekly paycheck and not subject to taxation.
  • Opportunities for advancement to a foreman position with an increase in hourly pay.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a mechanical background, familiarity with hand tools, and experience in industrial or commercial environments.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 10-50 lbs, kneel, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods. Strong independent work ethic and effective communication skills are essential. Basic technological proficiency for documentation is required. Candidates must successfully complete a company-paid DOT physical and drug screening, and maintain a clean driving record.
