Position Overview:As a Traveling Fuel Technician Trainee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients maintain compliance at their fuel sites. This position involves significant travel, requiring you to be away from home for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise calibration of fuel meters for retail petroleum clients to guarantee accurate measurements and adherence to industry regulations.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks on fueling systems.
- Assist in the setup of equipment and preparation of sites.
- Operate a company vehicle (CDL not necessary).
Travel Requirements:
Candidates must be willing to travel across multiple states, with the expectation of being away from home for weeks or months at a time. All travel expenses, including accommodations and a generous per diem, will be covered.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage starting at $17.00, with potential overtime paid at time and a half (approximately $25.00/hour).
- Daily per diem of $50.00, added directly to your weekly paycheck and not subject to taxation.
- Opportunities for advancement, with the potential to move into a foreman position with increased pay.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a mechanical background, with experience in using hand tools and working in industrial or commercial environments being advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift between 10-50 lbs, kneel, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods. Candidates must demonstrate independent work capabilities and effective communication skills. Basic technological proficiency for documentation is necessary. A clean driving record and the ability to pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screening are required.
