Sanitation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. in Norwalk, Iowa. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and food safety in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the sanitation activities of our production team to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop and implement effective sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and maintain high-quality products.
- Provide training and guidance to sanitation staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and report on sanitation metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in sanitation or a related field, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety regulations, and quality control principles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as food science or environmental health.
- Experience working with USDA or other regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages a plus.
