Sanitation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. in Norwalk, Iowa. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and safety in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise sanitation employees and ensure proper cleaning and inspection of equipment and facilities.
- Train employees on sanitation procedures and policies.
- Monitor plant, equipment, and parts for cleanliness and proper sanitation.
- Track trends to identify areas of improvement and implement actions to enhance sanitation practices.
- Communicate issues or potential issues to management.
- Lead cross-functional sanitation teams and participate in audits and inspections.
- Conduct safety and educational training.
- Inventory and order sanitation supplies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in sanitation in the food industry.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business procedures and regulations.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of chemicals and chemical usage.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience working with USDA.
- Knowledge of CIP and Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
