Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team at Dell Children's Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients and collaborate with a registered nurse to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit, including observation, documentation, and communication of patient healthcare needs.
- Assist with patient care, including assisting with physician and nursing orders, and implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
- Participate in transition to practice programs to develop clinical thinking and enhanced clinical judgment to provide safe, competent, person-centered care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
- 1-2 years Critical Care RN experience
- Pediatric RN experience
- BSN
