Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Act as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of New Mexico or eligibility for licensure.
  • 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
