Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Roane Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and nursing staff in preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Competently perform a variety of surgical procedures, including complex cases, with or without assistance.
- Participate in on-call rotations, responding promptly to emergencies within a 30-minute timeframe.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Maintain accurate records, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and complete required education assignments annually.
- Current and active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including on-call rotations and weekends.
