Covenant Health (Tennessee) is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Roane Medical Center. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and nursing staff in preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile field, and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Perform a variety of tasks, including setting up and cleaning up surgical procedures, maintaining equipment and instrumentation, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and coordination during procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies within 30 minutes.
- Current and active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification established by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
