Opportunity:

Cirrus Group Consulting is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding organizations through their transition to, management of, and operations within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, leveraging Azure Arc. Your deep knowledge of cloud technologies and Azure will be critical in delivering technical solutions and strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Multicloud and On-Premises Management:
  • Assist clients in overseeing their complete environment by integrating existing non-Azure and/or on-premises resources into Azure Resource Manager.
  • Administer virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, and databases as if they are operating within Azure.
  • Utilize familiar Azure services and management tools, irrespective of resource location.
Server and Kubernetes Management:
  • Oversee Windows and Linux physical servers and virtual machines hosted externally to Azure.
  • Connect and configure Kubernetes clusters operating in various environments, using multiple supported distributions.
Azure Data Services:
  • Deploy Azure data services on-premises, at the edge, and across public clouds utilizing Kubernetes and preferred infrastructure.
  • Currently, SQL Managed Instance and PostgreSQL services are available.
Custom Locations:
  • Establish custom locations as an abstraction layer over Azure Arc-enabled Kubernetes clusters and cluster extensions.
DevOps Practices:
  • Implement DevOps methodologies to support emerging cloud-native patterns in client environments.
Requirements:

Technical Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency in Azure services, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Solid understanding of server management, virtualization, and database services.
Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Ability to assess complex environments and deliver effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot challenges related to multicloud and hybrid configurations.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and implement solutions.
Certifications:
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Azure Administrator) are advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must have relevant experience.
  • Must be willing to work in a hybrid capacity with onsite presence.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance or above.
