Job Summary

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking an experienced Inpatient Hospitalist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our hospital's clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, including those with advanced heart failure and left ventricular assist devices.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to the development of comprehensive care plans and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance our hospital's clinical programs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing, or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
  • Current certification in ACLS and BLS.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in complex situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an inpatient hospital setting, with a focus on advanced heart failure and left ventricular assist devices.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records applications and ability to work effectively in a paperless environment.
  • Ability to lead a team and contribute to the development of our hospital's clinical programs.
