Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Ordering and Inventory Management: Replenish products through proper buying procedures, order seafood products, and maintain appropriate back stock levels.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
  • Merchandising and Display: Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, control spoilage/shrink, and achieve turn goals.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Analyze and control product transfers, waste, and spoilage, support leadership in conducting inventories, and maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of seafood products, working knowledge and application of all seafood merchandising expectations, strong basic math skills, and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in a wet and cold environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, handle knives and other cutting equipment, and use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
