Nurse Care Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Regency Senior Living. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document resident conditions and nursing needs
- Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly
- Assign nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff capabilities
- Supervise and direct junior staff members and CNAs
- Administer medications and perform treatments as required
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel
- Assist physicians with special tests and procedures
- Ensure supplies are utilized economically and equipment is maintained safely
- Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents
- Coordinate nursing care for residents undergoing therapy or procedures
- Assist with emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents
- Participate in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff
- Supervise nursing unit/hall, including scheduling and directing staff
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Promote interpersonal relationships and develop staff morale
- Assure inventory and supplies are maintained on the unit/hall and communicate needs for housekeeping, maintenance, and dietary assistance
- Answer resident call lights and ensure all residents are checked frequently
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN School of Nursing
- Valid LPN/LVN license from the State of Tennessee
- Valid CPR certification
- One year experience in nursing preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skilled in motivating and directing the workforce
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

- Solicit resident/family feedback to understand their needs and the needs of the community
- Work efforts reflect a passion for exceeding customer expectations
