Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Cambridge HS. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, adhering to federal, state, and local standards.
  • Treat residents with kindness, respect, and dignity, maintaining a positive and calm demeanor.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, visitors, and staff, using clear and empathetic language.
  • Make sound independent decisions, working cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Perform essential duties, including vital sign checks, wound dressing, and catheter insertion, while maintaining accurate and detailed charting of resident progress notes.
  • Timely report changes in resident condition to the nurse supervisor, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Assist and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring they provide high-quality care.
  • Monitor equipment, ensuring it is in good operating order, and report any issues to the nurse supervisor.
  • Collect lab samples, adhere to Infection Control policies, and report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or hazardous materials.
  • Attend annual facility in-service training programs, staying up-to-date on the latest best practices.
Requirements
  • Completion of LVN training from an accredited school or college.
  • Valid LVN license in good standing.
  • Valid CPR and BLS certification.
  • IV Certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter resident data.
Working Conditions

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Cambridge HS, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with residents, family members, and government agencies. You may be required to work beyond scheduled hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, and other environmental hazards.

Please note that the COVID-19 vaccine is required for this position, as per California state mandate.
